Sleep disorders commonly affect the general population. It is estimated that chronic insomnia affects up to 10% of the population and up to 35% of the population suffer from transient insomnia. Obstructive sleep apnea has a prevalence rate of 24% in men. The consequences of untreated sleep disorders range from work absenteeism to cardiovascular disease to dementia.
Besides sleep apnea and insomnia, we also treat other sleep disorders such as narcolepsy, restless legs syndrome, circadian rhythm sleep disorders, etc. We perform in-laboratory or in-home sleep studies on patients as needed as part of a thorough clinical evaluation. Treatment options are discussed with patients and therapies are tailored to individual patients.
